PRABHAS CMNG MVE....!
One of the country’s ancient Vaishnava shrines, the Lord Narasimha temple in Ahobilam, a forty km drive from Nandyal railway station was the chosen location to film a crucial scene for Sri Venkateswara Creations, Production No.12 directed by Dasarath. A temple backdrop seems to be an inevitable feature in a ‘Dil’ Raju production. In an era in which top producers are making just one film in two years, the notable point is that Raju is producing three films simultaneously, all with top actors. This untitled film stars Prabhas, Kajal Agarwal and Tapsi in the lead.
At the location were Prabhas and Kajal. Cinematographer Vijay Chakravarthy (of Bommarillu and Parugu fame) shot the scene from a crane mounted camera as the lead pair steps out of the temple and enter the sprawling open sand filled area outside. The two were in an animated conversation. All of a sudden a thug spotting them takes on Prabhas. From here fight choreographer Peter Hynes took over. For Prabhas such scenes were a cake walk. The thug’s character was played by ‘Kathi’ Seenu.
This was a few weeks ago. The unit then left for Malaysia to continue filming the action block and also the talkie part on the three lead actors and Prakash Raj, Raja Ravindra and others. “We have completed three schedules in Hyderabad, Ahobilam and in Malaysia. The fourth one will be held in Australia till August end where we plan to shoot a couple of songs and crucial talkie portions,” said ‘Dil’ Raju from his office in Srinagar Colony in Hyderabad. He is also planning to shoot in Pollachi and conclude the shoot by October in Hyderabad.
“We have a few titles in mind for this movie, but are waiting for the most suitable one to crop up. Actually the central plot is my creation. Based on that, Dasarath has developed the story and the characters and written the screenplay. It took nearly two years to arrive at the final draft. As for the lead characters, Prabhas plays the role of an NRI from Australia. We are shooting those portions in Melbourne and Sydney. Tapsi’s character also hails from Australia, while Kajal plays the native girl. It is a slick romantic love story with loads of action and varied emotions. The hero has an attitude, he does what he wants. Every one despite any age restriction, from elders to young can identify with this character. It just looks as if it emanated from their personal life. There is such commonality in the character played by Prabhas,” explained Raju. He had earlier made Munna with Prabhas.
Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. “The four tunes he has given so far are wonderful. You will love them too,” he said. Murali Mohan, Nasser, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Tulasi, Pragathi and Rajitha are among the star cast. ‘Dil’ Raju is planning to release the film in December.

Maryada Ramanna
Maryada Ramanna is a musical comedy film which is directed by S.S. Rajamouli starringSunil and Saloni in lead roles. This is the second film for Sunil as a hero. Shobha Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are jointly producing this movie in Arka Media Works banner.
Tammareddy Bharadwaja sounded the clapboard, Suresh Babu switched on the camera and K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot. NTR, Charan, Prabhas and Ravi Teja oversaw the first shot direction.
Sunil said, “Nobody narrated me an exciting story after Andala Ramudu. That is why I stayed away from doing hero roles. I am doing a serious role in this movie which provides lot of humor. I feel happy to work in Rajamouli’s direction. Though there are no fights, we roped in Peter Heinbecause lot of thread-work is involved”
Maryada Ramanna is the story of a plain-hearted man Ramu who is being chased by factionists for a murder committed by his father. The girl whom he meets on the train reveals she is in love with him and Ramu who until then was running for his life resolves to stand by her and also wins the enemy's heart. The love angle is just a part of the story where as the entire film shows how the protagonist escapes from the sword that hangs precariously on his neck.
It is a nice sweet story, and seems like it's been tailor-made for Suneel. With the filmmaker revealing the storyline much in advance there is hardly anything to expect. The director does away with popular comedians and allows the situations to bring in comic relief but that is too sparse. The highpoint of the film is the climax in which the story gets dramatic and the lead pair drown you in a whirlpool of emotion.
Suneel as usual never disappoints with his dances and always cashes in on any opportunity to display his ease in foot work. The song 'Ammayi Kitiki Pakkana' makes a pleasant watch. So Suneel succeeds once again in wanting to be something more than just a comedy guy, he might get more chances of doing more serious roles. Saloni makes a refreshing return, dishes out a convincing performance and Nagineedu as the villain is just apt for the role. The supporting artistes help in showing that the story other than having a whole heap of running, has some real characters though they threaten to be clichéd and prosaic.
Brahmaji comes out with his character effectively, his work as a man in dilemma, doubt, hesitation has been sincerely portrayed. Because of the nature of the plot, the movie tends to look long, there is nothing that thrills or excites you..it's just a good story that follows a formula with the director consciously avoiding missteps instead of making an extra effort to figure out what's missing. With less sheen, shine, cheer, excitement and absence of star power, the filmmaker banks on his story and it needs to be seen if it ticks at the box office. Technically, nothing to complain about, the film is nothing more than an average watch.
